In Sicily, more than a century ago, in 1906, grandiose automobile races were held. Captivated by the glamor and magnificence of racing cars, René Lalique, a jewelry and crystal designer, came up with a prize for the tournament — an elegant figurine. In total, 27 unique figurines were created, which inspired the company to create perfume bottles for men. A little later, in 1909, he met the owner of the French perfume company Coty, Francois Coty, and created the very first Cyclamen perfume bottle. Gradually, bottles, similar to a real work of art, began to enjoy great popularity. Each year, Lalique perfume is released in a limited edition in a new bottle, each copy of which has its own number. After one year, the vial matrix is broken, so that it can no longer be exactly repeated. Bottles are made of crystal, including colored. Well, after the men’s perfumes of this brand have firmly taken root in the market, the company started producing Lalique women’s perfumes — also very successfully.
